Based in Richmond Virginia, KaTO is an architecture studio which engages students of architecture & design, engineering, and construction to create social projects for impoverished communities internationally. KaTO seeks to create architecture as a catalyst to advance education in these underprivileged cultures.

Since the beginning, students have been apart of projects in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic to design schools, community centers, and health clinics.

During Summer 2016 and Summer 2017, I traveled to assist in the design of a community center in Monterrey, Mexico and a school/health clinic in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Below, is our story.
