Featuring Zack Bishop
Built on a steep topography, Arckit Model 45 is a modern three-storied favela styled residence with an alluring program. With a spacious and open plan, the primary floor contains a living room, kitchen and dining area, each with unique views of the surrounding landscape. Below, half underground, the basement level contains a master bedroom and a large multipurpose space that can extend and open up to an outdoor patio with a small private pool. At the top, a covered rooftop deck provides the owners with an extra gathering area and access to a green garden.
Zack Bishop is a first year architecture student at the University of Maryland. He is interested in sustainable materials and design as well as techniques to fortify buildings for extreme weather situations.
